About Us

My photo
We are both retired. Built a house near a beach in Mexico to spend the winter away from the cold and snow. Have another home in Washington on the Pend Oreille River where we spend the summer. We divide our time between the two homes.

The mad rush has begun.

We are running out of time.  There are so many things still needing to be done.  The exterior plastering needs to be completed so the painter can finish.  Doors & windows need installing, so we may close up the house before we leave.  Many of the interior items will have to wait till we return in the fall.

The plastering can be an adventure on how to reach some of the house.  Here a worker lays on a board to try and reach the corner of the house.

Ceetu doesn't mind the mess and clutter.  He is right at home.

The second time for the counters.  The tile in the background will be the back-splash.

The stairs to the roof.... a step just a bit small.  Another do over!!!

The bathroom might actually get to a point we can use it.

The cement mixer hasn't been used in over a month.  Trying to get it unstuck and moved to the road so it can be returned.

The doors and windows have been delivered.  Now they have to be installed and then hopefully the glass installer can arrive.

Starting to get nervous, we only have 2 1/2 weeks before we need to leave, so we don't turn into pumpkins and visas expire.
