Highway 200 is the main highway along the Coast of
Mexico. Big rigs travel this road as
well as cars, people on horseback, motorcycles and bicycles.
We had heavy rains that flooded fields and underneath bridges being built.
It takes us 2 ½ hours to get to Puerto Vallarta
and it is always an adventure. The
highway has been under construction for years, currently to widen the road and
improve bridges. But, you never know
what part of the highway will be dirt or detoured, it is always changing. We have yet to figure out why they work on a
part of the highway leaving it unfinished and move on to another part. I don’t think we will ever figure it out.

The pavement was mixed in a field and you can normally see
black smoke plums going into the air.
The scenery runs from huge trees and lots of foliage to pine
trees. Yes, pine trees.

The parts that are finished are great.
It can be a guessing game as to which way to go
