About Us

My photo
We are both retired. Built a house near a beach in Mexico to spend the winter away from the cold and snow. Have another home in Washington on the Pend Oreille River where we spend the summer. We divide our time between the two homes.

Piñata Auction

Every year the Kindergarten School puts on an auction of Piñatas to help the school.  While the start time is posted, it never seems to start on time.  Think the kids are difficult to corral.  There is usually a couple of tables with food for purchase and the funds go to the school too.
Third place was a tie between the Santa Claus and Reindeer

The gingerbread man came in second place.

This snowman received first place

The group of elves was in their 2nd year.
This group of kids was the youngest group

The oldest group had fish on their hands and will leave this school for secondary school in the Spring

Yoga

I started Yoga.  It can't be in a better place.  The life of luxury in a palapa on the beach.

To Puerto Vallarta

Periodically we go to Puerto Vallarta for shopping at Home Depot, Walmart, Costco and any other stores.  The road has been under construction for several years.  You never know what part will be completed and which will be dirt.  As we understand different contractors get different parts of the highway, so some parts get completed while others always seem to be dirt.  A patchwork.  It takes us 2+ hours to get to town and can be "interesting".

As I'm always taking the photos out the car window so they are not always the best.

This bridge never seems to get completed.

Trying to keep the dust down.

                      One of my favorite views.

Wood and bananas

I always look for this huge rock.  Would love it if they routed the road around it and made it a "landmark".  But I'm sure that is not to be.  Have no idea how they're going to break it apart.

Día de Revolución

I have been asked my a few friends to start the blog again.  So here is the first post.  I will try to post some photos from the past year at a later time.

The Día de Revolución is Nov 20, but for some reason the parade in Perula was Nov 21.

Running a little late

A helping hand to see the parade.

Not sure if these are judges or honorable members of town

End of the day, the dress was hot
