About Us

My photo
We are both retired. Built a house near a beach in Mexico to spend the winter away from the cold and snow. Have another home in Washington on the Pend Oreille River where we spend the summer. We divide our time between the two homes.

Hurricane Patricia - 2

I have been back in Mexico for 2 weeks, but haven’t gotten out much to take a look around.  We have had 2 huge rainstorms that have left large puddles and very muddy roads.

The following are pictures were taken while driving down the main highway.  It shows some of the destruction, but not nearly what was destroyed in the way of homes.

Signs are still bent over.

Coconut trees are looking shabby.
Telephone pole in use, leaning at a bad angle.

You can see the new part of roof, as it is a different color.
Some people put tape in the windows to try and save the windows from breaking.

New palm for some of the roofs.

Trees are trying to make a come back.

This wall tumbled right on a couple of cars.

New electric towers are being installed.  There were two men on this tower.  Look at the one at the very edge, don't think he has any safety harnesses.
